Dean is a senior Account Executive with over 19 years of experience, specializing in construction, development and homebuilding. In addition to his CPCU designation, he is licensed as an Insurance Agent and Broker in Washington, as well as numerous states across the US. He holds degrees in Bachelor of Arts/Finance and Bachelor of Science/Construction Management, both from University of Washington and has field engineering experience in heavy/highway construction.

Dean joined Worthington Insurance in 1988, initializing his insurance career in personal insurance. He subsequently developed knowledge and expertise in commercial insurance and surety, and purchased the agency in 1998 after helping the agency quadruple in volume. In 2000, the agency merged with Lovsted Company forming the agency as it is known today, Lovsted-Worthington.

Dean brings extensive innovation to his large local and regional contractor clients in the Puget Sound area. He plays an active and supportive role in numerous construction associations and is a solid proactive player in the support of the goals of the client, which goes beyond handling their business risks and surety obligations.

Steve began his career with Lovsted-Worthington in 2000. He boasts a highly diverse client base, which was built by utilizing his experience in claims management, claims payment, underwriting, marketing and sales. Steve thoroughly and conscientiously reviews the unique needs of each client and responds promptly from the marketplace providing each customer the highest level of service.

Steve is a graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing. He has over 22 years of experience on both the company side and the production side. His experience on the insurance company side helps him negotiate the very best premiums and coverages with our underwriters.

Scott is a Senior Account Executive with over 35 years of experience, with specialty experience in international trade and logistics, financial institutions, manufacturing, distribution, and maritime exposures.

Scott began his career in a family business and later moved to a major international brokerage where he served in California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska offices. He joined Lovsted-Worthington in 1996 and has background in a wide variety of commercial and public exposures, including technology, utilities, public entities, reverse foreign, contracting, oilfield services and mining.

In addition to his Washington State Insurance Agent’s license and Broker’s license, he holds the Associate in Risk Management designation.

Jim is primarily involved with business development for Lovsted Worthington. He graduated with a Bachelors degree from Central Washington University in 1973 and a Masters degree from Washington State University in 1976. After graduating, he began his insurance career as an underwriter and marketing representative for a large national insurance company. He has over 30 years insurance experience as an underwriter, marketer and broker. Jim began his career with Lovsted Worthington in April 2000 .

During his career Jim has been actively involved with insurance industry professional organizations, including serving as President of the Board for the Pierce County chapter of the Independent Agents and Brokers of Washington in 1987.

Larry is a Senior Surety Account Executive with over 33 years of surety experience, specializing in construction. In addition to his Insurance Agent, Insurance Broker and Surplus Lines broker license in several Western States, he holds a business degree from Western Washington University.

As an Executive that has had extensive experience in handling Contractors, Developers and Owners through out the United States and Canada, I can provide the following levels of service to our clients:

Work with the operational staff to help shape the goals and objectives of the company to match the available level of surety credit and grow that level as the work program is prosecuted.

Steve, as a senior executive, is charged with helping to manage and grow Lovsted-Worthington’s Senior Living and Healthcare Division. Steve has 16 years of experience in sales and client relations. The last seven years developing, building and implementing senior care risk management and insurance programs. Formerly, Steve served as a partner with one of largest recognized regional brokerage firms in the Pacific Northwest. Steve brings his vast experience on both the regional and national level to consult and advise his clients

Tim has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry as a commercial property/liability producer and in business development. He has experience working in numerous industry groups from construction, real estate, food and beverage, manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, medical, communications and energy. Kristin is a Surety Account Executive with over 17 years of surety and construction experience, specializing in surety and insurance risks. In addition to her Insurance Agents license, she holds a degree in Business Management. Kristin is an active member of the Surety Association of Washington.

Kristin has extensive experience in the handling and placement of insurance and bonding for large local and regional contractors. She utilizes her expertise to access an extensive contractor market base and provide unique products and programs including Insurance Wraps (OCIPs) and surety products specific to the construction industry and the client specifically. Along with having her insurance producers license, Patti has completed schooling through the NASBP (National Association of Surety Bond Producers).

Sue started her career in commercial insurance in 1990 at a National Brokerage firm working on claims and small accounts. Sue quickly moved into the larger commercial accounts - with her main focus on extensive property schedules. Sue joined Lovsted Worthington Insurance in 1995 and has been an excellent account manager. She now oversees several of our larger commercial accounts and is responsible for internal commercial procedures and quality control.

Sue is Director of Personal Insurance at Lovsted-Worthington. With over 30 years of insurance expertise primarily in the Personal Insurance arena, she joined our team in February of 2009. Prior to joining Lovsted Worthington, Sue was a partner with one of the largest recognized regional brokerage firms in the Pacific Northwest. Utilizing her background from company underwriter to Director of Personal Insurance at Lovsted-Worthington, she has been recognized as one of the leaders in the Personal Lines field serving on various insurance company councils, both Regionally and on the National level. In 2010 Sue received Safeco's Award of Excellence in Personal Lines, the highest honor given for excellence in personal insurance underwriting. She previously received the Don C. Burnam Award from the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of WA, the highest honor given by the Association She believes in strengthening relationships with clients, providing individualized and personal portfolios to fit each client's needs.

In addition to a Bachelors degree from the University of Portland, she is a Licensed Agent/Broker and achieved her Certified Insurance Counselor designation. She has served as President of the Tacoma Pierce County Insurance Women and is Past President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of WA (IIABW). She currently holds the Position of State National Director of IIABW.
